During her five decades in the spotlight,Demi Moorehas had her fair share of high-profile relationships.

From the Oscar nominee’s breakout role inGeneral Hospitalin 1982 to her new movieThe Substance, Moore has been in the public eye for decades. Herthree marriages— including toBruce Willis, with whom she shares three daughters, andAshton Kutcher— and her shorter-lived romances have been the subject of public attention.

However, in recent years, Moore has said she’s no longer interested in dating. Her last public relationship ended in 2022, and in an interview withThe Guardianin September 2024, Moore revealed that dating has not been her “focus” in recent years.

Moore added that she has realized shedoesn’t need a relationshipto complete her. “It’s not about not being interested in dating,” she said. “It’s more about realizing that I’m now in a place that’s much more about choice as opposed to feeling that there’s any kind of lack.”

From her first marriage at age 18 to building a family with Bruce Willis, here’s a look back at Demi Moore’s dating history.

Freddy Moore

Moore married her first husband, musician Freddy Moore, in 1981 when she was just 18 years old.

During their marriage, the couple co-wrote a song together, “It’s Not a Rumour,” which Freddy then recorded with his band The Nu Kats, according toPR Newswire.

“I was trying to get [Demi] to get in the creativity. I said, ‘Why don’t you try to write some lyrics or something to the song,’ ” Freddie explained in a2013 interview. “So we got to the last verse and she made up a couple of words, and I said ‘Okay great, you actually co-wrote a song.’ ”

Moore also appeared in theaccompanying music videoat just 17 years old, per theTampa Bay Times.

The couple divorced in 1985, but Moore kept Freddy’s last name. The singer died in August 2022 at age 72.

In her 2019 memoirInside Out, Moore shared that while their two characters were falling in love on the screen, Cryer “fell for [her] in real life, too."

At the time, Moore was struggling with drug and alcohol addiction — something Cryer told PEOPLE in 2024 that he was initiallynot aware of.

The actor said he thought highly of Moore at the time and still does today. “What would always be great about her was already evident; that incredible combination of vulnerability, toughness and beauty,” he said.

Moore briefly dated — and got engaged to — herSt. Elmo’s Firecostar and fellowBrat Packmember,Emilio Estevez, in 1985.

Despite some reports that the two met on the set ofSt. Elmo’s Fire, Moore and Estevez had already “known each other for a long time,” before they began filming the movie, he toldTheWashington Postin 1985.

In her memoir, Moore wrote that she and Estevez got engaged after only six months of dating, largely because she felt his family — which includes dadMartin Sheenand brotherCharlie Sheen— were a “good influence” on her.

OnThe Howard Stern Showin 2019, Moore talked about why Estevez’s family drew her in. “It was seeing something that was very clearly different than what I had. And seeing how they were these formidable parental figures, and that they had influence and guidance, and I just really appreciated how they were,” she said.

Moore met her second husband,Bruce Willis, when they were both already household names — her for her Brat Pack status, and him for his role inMoonlighting.

In 1987, Moore attended the premiere of the action filmStakeout, starring her then-fiancé Estevez — though, at the time, their engagement was postponed. Moore wrote in her memoir that the premiere was a “highly consequential night” in her life — as it was where she met Willis.

Within a few weeks of meeting, Moore and Willis began officially dating while he was filmingDie Hard— his costar Bonnie Bedelia has since joked to PEOPLE that Willis' new relationship with Moore made him“distracted” on set.

Four months later, on Nov. 21, 1987, Moore and Willis married in Las Vegas on a whim, according to her memoir.

Moore and Willis then welcomed three daughters together:Rumer Willisin August 1988,Scout Willisin July 1991 andTallulah Willisin February 1994. All three eventually followed their parents into acting.

In 1998, Moore and Willis separated and decided to end their 13-year marriage. The divorce was finalized in 2000 but despite their split, the two have remained close friends.

“I still love Demi. We’re very close. We have three children whom we will continue to raise together, and we’re probably as close now as we ever were,” Willis toldRolling Stonein 2000. “We realize we have a lifelong commitment to our kids. Our friendship continues.”

In her memoir, Moore also wrote that she was “very proud” ofher divorce from Willis, saying that they created a safe, supportive environment for their children even after their split. “We felt more connected than we did before the divorce,” she wrote.

Over the years, Willis and Moore have created a blended family with his second wife,Emma Heming Willis, and their two daughters Mabel and Evelyn. Willis attended Moore’s memoir launch in 2019, and the twoself-isolated together during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2022, Willis wasdiagnosed with aphasia, which progressed tofrontotemporal dementiathe following year, and Moore continues to support his care. When she is in L.A., the actress sees Willis “every week,” as she said onThe Drew Barrymore Showin September 2024. “I really treasure the time that we all share.”

In a collaborativeInstagrampost from Moore, Emma, Rumer, Scout and Tallulah in June 2024, the family shared throwback photos of Willis and his daughters. “Happy Father’s Day to our favorite girl dad. We love you, BW!” they wrote in the caption.

Oliver Whitcomb

After her split from Willis, Moore began dating martial arts instructor Oliver Whitcomb while she was living in Hailey, Idaho. The pair dated for at least two years before splitting.

Not much is known about their relationship, though in November 2000, Moore hosted an opening event for Gateway Building — Whitcomb’s holistic health and martial arts center in Hailey.

At the time, a friend told PEOPLE that she looked “happier and better than ever.”

Ashton Kutcher

When Moore metAshton Kutcherin the spring of 2003 in a hotel room before a dinner with friends, “it was like nobody else was there,” she wrote in her 2019 memoir. “[We] stayed up the entire night, still talking, telling each other our life stories,” she wrote.

At the time, Kutcher was 25 and Moore was 40, but their 15-year age gap didn’t stop the couple from diving into an eight-year romance. In fact, Moore has even said that the difference in age made her feel youthful.

She wrote in her memoir that Kutcher felt like a “do-over.” It was as if she “could just go back in time and experience what it was like to be young, with him — much more so than I’d ever been able to experience it when I was actually in my 20s," Moore wrote.

The couple married on Sept. 24, 2005, at their home in Beverly Hills. The following year, Moore miscarried at six months and wrote in her memoir that the loss “decimated” her.

After six years of marriage, Moore and Kutcherended their relationshipin 2011 and finalized their divorce two years later.

“I really lost sight of everything that was right in front of me, which is the family I had, and I think the weight that it put on Ashton,” Moore toldDiane SawyeronGood Morning Americain 2019. “It’s kind of a natural thing to pull back when somebody’s clinging too tight.”

After her split from Kutcher, Moore reportedly dated restaurateur Harry Morton in 2013.

He founded thePink Taco restaurant chain— following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, who founded the Hard Rock Cafe and Morton’s The Steakhouse, respectively. When Morton died suddenly fromcoronary artery diseasein 2019, Mooreattended the funeral.

Moore was linked to Dead Sara drummer Sean Friday for around a year in 2014.

The rumored couple kept their relationship largely private but were spotted many times together — including in January 2014 while on a vacation in Tulum with friends and Moore’s daughter Rumer, at an L.A. gallery opening in May and grabbing coffee together in December, perE! News.

Moore and Swiss restaurateurDaniel Hummwere first spotted together duringParis Fashion Weekin March 2022.

The actress went public with their relationship a few months later in anInstagramslideshow featuringromantic photos of her and Humm. “Visiting the palace of kings and queens,” Moore wrote in the caption, referring to their trip to Versailles. The second photo showed the two cuddled close together, and the third showed them posing in front of some greenery with Moore’s dog Pilaf.

In anotherInstagrampost the next day, Moore shared pictures of the two at the French Open Finals, sitting in the stands with Pilaf.

After less than a year of dating,Moore and Humm splitin November 2022. “She’s in a good place,” a source close to the couple told PEOPLE after the breakup. “She’s happy and enjoying her children and her friends.”
