YouTube Creators Colin and Samir Lose Palisades Homes to Fire While Both of Their Wives Are Pregnant

YouTube creators Colin Rosenblum and Samir Chaudry said they lost their homes in the Palisades Fire. Both of their wives are pregnant.

“Hey everyone, Unfortunately both of our homes burned down in the Palisades Fire,” the influencer pair wrote in the candid post. “The enormity of the loss is very overwhelming. Both of our wives are pregnant and our primary focus right now is getting back on stable ground. We’ll be pausing uploads for a bit while we figure out what’s next.”

The creators also thanked their friends in the YouTube community for supporting them, including fellow influencersDudePerfectfor starting aGoFundMepage to help them rebuild their homes and support their families. The fundraiser has raised over $120,000 to date, surpassing its original $100,000 goal.

“It’s a devastating situation for many people across LA right now and fires are continuing to burn. We’re feeling incredibly fortunate for all of the support that we’re receiving,” the pair continued in part. “We’re grateful to the firefighters and first responders for continuing to fight the fire. To everyone who follows along with us, words don’t begin to capture how much you mean to us.”

In his ownInstagrampost, Chaudry opened up about his wife, Katie Chaudry, revealing that she is 37 weeks pregnant.

“The enormity of the situation is very overwhelming,” Chaudry wrote. “…I’m fully focused on my family right now. To everyone who has reached out, thank you for your patience, I’m not sure when I’ll be able to reply.”

“Everyone got out safe,” he clarified. “Katie and my house burned down. The whole town is gone. My parents, extended family and brother all lived in the Palisades. It was the only home we knew.”

Rosenblum and Chaudry have been YouTubers for over 10 years, per theirwebsite. Their videos often feature interviews with fellow content creators. They have produced longer-form documentaries, including one recentvideoabout creatorMrBeast.

According to anInstagrampost, Rosenblum tied the knot with his wife Madilyn in Malibu in April 2024. Samir and Katiemarriedin April 2022, and the couple announced they were expecting their first child inSeptember2024.

Thedestructive Palisades Firefirst began in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades on Jan. 7, and has since burned over 20,000 acres with 8% containment, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Another major fire, dubbed the Eaton fire, started in the eastern L.A. County cities of Pasadena and Altadena, and it has already reached over 13,000 acres. Additional fires have also sprung up in the Southern California area.
